Endogenous Scientific Solutions: Building Trust in African-Led Research for Sustainable Development

A 2024 meta-analysis by SciDiplomacy Africa of 127 peer-reviewed studies demonstrates that African-led research initiatives achieve 2.8x greater policy uptake and 4.1x higher community adoption rates compared to externally driven interventions. The study presents a novel Trust-Building Index for Endogenous Research (TBI-ER) quantifying how contextual embeddedness improves solution efficacy across health, agriculture, and climate sectors.
