Prof. Mariette Anouma’a

Prof. Mariette Anouma'a completed a PhD and graduated from the Department of Plant Biology of the University of Dschang, based on a research work conducted on Genetic diversity of potatoes grown in Cameroon. She is Senior Lecturer in the same department since 2018. As Scientist, she is experienced in diversity analysis and improvement of crops, with the goal of increasing farmers’ incomes and improving food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her studies has provided control strategies in crop diseases using varietal resistance. Mariette is a grantee of the Africa Bioscience Challenge Fund Fellowship 2015, the Vlir-Uos Scholarship 2019, the COIMBRA Group Scholarship 2021 and the TWAS-DFG cooperation visit program 2024.
